WELCOME TO MAINLY AFTERNOON
Mainly Afternoon is an independent graphic design and creative direction practice of Renata Šifrar, known for her simplistic typographical choices and skills in dealing with photographic material. Together with sellected external collaborators, she looks for long-lasting solutions that highlight the identity of every project. Mainly Afternoon is based in Amsterdam and works internationally with clients from creative areas, small businesses and sustainable practices.
Interesteed in collaboration? Write to Mainly Afternoon about your project, challenges, questions and what kind of services you need.
On her own or in a small team, Renata believes that taking time and staying in close connection is essential. Based on this, the advice and outcome is specifically tailored to serve each project well. The process varies, however it often looks something like this:
1. Identifying challenges, research.
2. Description or a rough sketch of a structural and visual direction.
3. Further development of a concept, working on practical aspects.
4. Finalising the details, making the visuals ready to be used.
Mainly Afternoon collaborates with a selected bunch of professionals, such as branding and graphic designers, web developers, photographers and illustrators.
Renata studied art direction/photography (MA) at ECAL in Lausanne, Switzerland and Visual Communication at the Academy of Fine arts and Design, Ljubljana, Slovenia. Her design for La Collectivité won Best Identity Design Award at Brumen Biennale in Ljubljana.
